Parroquia del Sagrario

Our ceremony takes place inside the breathtaking Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba — one of the most extraordinary architectural landmarks in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this stunning monument blends Moorish and Christian artistry spanning over a millennium.

Travel

Getting to Córdoba

The easiest way to reach Córdoba is by flying into a nearby city and taking the high-speed AVE train. Pick your arrival city below for a step-by-step route.

1

Land at Madrid–Barajas (MAD)

Spain's main international hub with direct flights from most major cities worldwide.

2

Get to Atocha station

Take the Metro (Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios, transfer to Line 1 south to Atocha Renfe) — about 40 minutes total. A taxi takes around 25 minutes and costs roughly €30–35.

3

Take the AVE to Córdoba

High-speed AVE trains run frequently throughout the day. The journey is about 1 hour 45 minutes. Book at renfe.com — tickets are cheaper the earlier you buy.

Arrive at Córdoba Central Station

From the station, the historic center is about a 20-minute taxi ride (around €8–10) or a pleasant 25-minute walk. Your hotel can also arrange a pickup.

Atocha is a gorgeous station — arrive a bit early and check out the tropical garden inside the old terminal.

Where to Stay

We recommend staying in the historic center (Casco Histórico) to be walking distance from both venues. The Hotel Conquistador (our reception venue) offers rooms, or try the Hospes Palacio del Bailío, Hotel Balcón de Córdoba, or NH Collection Amistad Córdoba for beautiful options nearby.

While You're Here

Take time to explore! Visit the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, stroll through the Judería (Jewish Quarter), cross the Roman Bridge at sunset, and don't miss the famous Patios de Córdoba. Early June is the tail end of patio season — the city will be in full bloom.

Summer Formal

Our wedding is in Córdoba in early June — think elegant summer, not black tie. Light fabrics, color, and a touch of Spanish flair. Here are some examples to give you an idea.

Colorful elegant outfits with hats — Spanish wedding guest style
Wide-brim hat with pink bow — elegant Spanish wedding headwear
Couple at a Spanish wedding — fascinator and dark suit
Day and night wedding looks — bold color and elegant silhouettes

Women— Flowing midi or maxi dresses in bold colors and florals. Breathable fabrics like linen, silk, and cotton blends are your best friend in the heat. We'd love to see headwear — hats, fascinators, and headpieces are a beautiful part of Spanish wedding tradition, and a daytime ceremony in Córdoba is the perfect occasion for one. Something as simple as a floral headband or clip is a lovely touch.

Men — A suit is all you need. If you have a navy or darker suit, that works perfectly — though lighter colors like beige, cream, or light grey will keep you cooler in the Andalusian sun. Linen and linen-blend fabrics are ideal.

A note on footwear

Córdoba's old town has cobblestone streets and uneven stone paths between the ceremony and reception. Stilettos will have a rough time — we'd recommend block heels, wedges, or elegant flats. For men, loafers or clean dress shoes work perfectly.

Staying Connected

If your phone supports eSIM (most newer iPhones and Androids do), you can download a data plan before you leave home — no need to swap SIM cards or pay roaming fees. These apps make it easy:

Just pick a Europe or Spain data plan, install the eSIM through the app, and activate it when you land. It takes a few minutes and you'll have data right away.
